Minors win in Augher

Congratulations to our Minor Ladies who secured their first win of the 2018 Championship Season against Tyrone. The Girls stared off very quickly securing some excellent scores early in the first half. Tyrone then rallied and notched up a few well taken points but the Saffrons finished the half stronger with a 5-06 2-05 lead at the break.
The second half got off to the same blistering pace as the first and Tyrone struggled to keep pace. The talking point of the second half came when Orla Corr was dragged down in the box resulting in a penalty which Orlaith Prenter slotted safely into the Tyrone net. The game finished 6-15 to 2-07 to Antrim.
With 11 scores in the first half and 10 in the second, the girls will hope to continue this consistency as they prepare to meet Donegal in 2 weeks time.
